Overview
This tutorial covers creating and managing surcharges or accessory charges, showcasing how to group, categorize, and apply them logically. It starts with organizing surcharges into groups—such as for customers or carrier networks—for streamlined management.
Examples include adding an oversized surcharge with a flat fee of $25 per item for items exceeding 100 cm in length, width, or height, and a fuel surcharge of 6.7% for shipments quoted in December.
It also demonstrates a post-booking surcharge like a $15 re-delivery fee, which is applied manually during invoice reconciliation. The tutorial provides a step-by-step overview of these processes to simplify surcharge management.
Adding a new surcharge group
You can use surcharges groups to create collections of surcharges, for example, surcharges for different services or customers, surcharges from different carriers or surcharges for sequential years. Here are some examples...
FedEx Surcharges, Couriers Please Surcharges, Fuel Surcharges.
ThatCustomer Surcharges, ThisCustomer Surcharges
Surcharges V1, Surcahrges V2
Standard Monthly Fuel Surcharges 2024
etc...
